WHAT WE DO

Support Our Efforts

Vision, History and Our Funding

MISSION & VISION

MISSION & VISION

MISSION & VISION

Our mission is to provide a temporary, safe place for survivors of domestic violence.  We envision women and children living in a home free of abuse and a vision for a better way of life.

FOUNDED IN 1995

MISSION & VISION

MISSION & VISION

Vivid Visions Inc. was founded by a group of concerned citizens of Suwannee County after a woman had been found on the side of the road beaten and left.

Vivid Visions obtained land and a building which was immediately utilized for sheltering survivors and their children. We became a Certified domestic violence Shelter in 2003.  We have been able to grow over the last  few years and we now have a 15 bed shelter, with  children's play room and also a playground.

FUNDING

MISSION & VISION

FUNDING

Vivid Visions receives funding from the Department of Children & Families for Domestic Violence Program,

United Way, Office of The Attorney General Victims of Crime Act (VOCA), and  from our local City and County. We are required to match funds so we also rely on local businesses, organizations and our community to help support our match.  Without the matching dollars, we would not be able to receive our grants.
